Courtney A. Solomon is a Partner of the Firm. Ms. Solomon’s practice focuses on a broad range of complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts and arbitration proceedings throughout the United States. She litigates on behalf of public and private companies, law firms, hedge funds, and individuals, in disputes involving claims of breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, legal malpractice, defamation, and other complex commercial claims.
Before joining the Firm, Ms. Solomon served as a law clerk to the Honorable Cathy Seibel of the United States District Court, Southern District of New York. Previously, she was an associate in the litigation department of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP.
Ms. Solomon is a member of the Bar in New York and Minnesota, and admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Second, Eighth, and Ninth Circuits. Ms. Solomon is a member of the Federal Bar Council and serves as a member of its First Decade Committee.
Since 2015, Super Lawyers magazine has named Ms. Solomon to its “New York Rising Stars” list for Business Litigation. The New York Rising Stars list is comprised of the top up-and-coming attorneys who are under age 40 or have been practicing for ten years or less.
Ms. Solomon is a graduate of Boston College (B.A. Biology, cum laude, 2004), and The George Washington University Law School (J.D., high honors, 2009), where she served as a Managing Editor of The George Washington University Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif.
